The Wyndham is on top of the list at that URL, though it says the Wyndham is only a half mile away. If you don't mind being a couple miles away, I recommend the Westin. While you can find place to stay within walking distance, there is not that much else to do within walking distance. The really nice thing though is the Light Rail: http://www.vta.org/schedules/light_rail_schedules.html It can take you to downtown Mountain View (good food, used book store, etc) or San Jose. E-Mail Alerts NDMP backups using NetBackup 3.4

We're using NetBackup 3.4... and every client will send us an email indicating success or failure of a backup except our NDMP clients. Has anyone had any success in finding a way to get NetBackup to send an email when an NDMP client succeeds/fails? Our implementer and our contacts at VERITAS are stumped. Thanks! Tom P.S. Thanks everyone who had suggestions for how to change permissions.. I got a lot of replies so I haven't been able to respond to many, but we appreciate all the feedback and our unix peeps are trying to put it all together into some interesting scripts.

Thats fine if you have Sun boxes to run this from, but we (my company) are also looking for a notifier that can run from a windows platform. In the software downloads section there is a page for tools and utilities downloads where you can find one called Filer Quota Notifier (disk_usage), which has the following description: "This Perl script looks at user disk quotas and automatically sends email to users (or to the administrator) when their quotas are within some threshold of being exceeded. Use with Solaris and perhaps other versions of Unix." I'm not a filer admin, just an interested reseller, so I can't vouch for this utility personally. cifs prefdc for 6.0.1R3 ??

hi folks, is there someone, who knows a hidden option to set a preferance-list for DC connections for 6.0.1R3?? cause somtimes the filer connects to a dc over wan, and the latency isn´t that good to run oracle on the filer. in 6.1 its integrated and i think - maybe this option is also in older ontap-releases. any suggestions?? thx hannes
