Is your Win2K domain mixed mode or native mode. If mixed mode, is your Win2K FSMO PDC emulator across the WAN link? By design, any non-Windows 2000 client (server or workstation) will authenticate to the PDC emulator in a mixed-mode Win2K environment. > >Robert N. We also have win2k dc in the same environment Actually, the cifs authetication happens to across the wan link. I am wondering why ? Netapp can't see AIT robot

Here is a summary of the problem. I am having a problem getting my Netapp F740 to recognize the robot on the attached Overland LibraryPro model #AIT-LP2H119RB. This has a high voltage differential scsi. # rsh filer2 sysconfig -m No medium changers present on system. My Netapp will not boot when attached to the master Overland unit( it hangs trying to find the boot image). If the Netapp is attached to a slave unit then it will boot and see the tape drive but will not see the robot. I have tried changing the library scsi id and drive scsi id's with no luck. Hello to all, Has anyone used the Clariion IP4700 NAS device from EMC??? If so, what are your opinions or reviews of it??? What data did you put on it i.e. CIFS, NFS??? Permission denied

Have a mixed share with a folder that I can't delete. I keep getting "permission denied" from unix NFS and mapping cifs share. Any idea how to remove this folder?

There may also be obscure problems with the mixed security setting, on my site I have stopped using mixed settings as none of the applications required mixed setting - and I could choose either unix or ntfs according to the users what platform the users was using. Here is some numbers I'm seeing from an nfsstat -d on one of my filers: num msg=0, too many mbufs=3631, rpcErr=3532, svrErr=0 I can see from the man page that the too many mbufs error means that there are udp packets being dropped because there are not enough mbufs available. What I can't find out is what if anything I can or should do about it. I've searched around on now but haven't found a specific mention of this for some reason (possibly just because I haven't had my coffee yet).
