where does CDOT keep the .7z files for the configuration backups?

Hello All, I see how/where I would set up the uploading of the backup files to an outside destination but only via FTP or to a writeable (put-ready) http destination. Where do those files actually sit on the cluster? Anywhere that I can reach via NFS or CIFS or any other way, like through the SPI web interface? Hope to hear from you, Randy

Diag password reset

I am newly responsible for a system whose last admin didn't properly document the diag password. I have access to the admin user, but is there a way of resetting the diag user password? If needed, I can schedule an outage for a reboot. Thanks!

Marketing disk size (4T)Or..Raw block size (3.815T) Which makes a 400T aggr either 100 disks, or 105. Beer bet to settle here. :)

Hide snapshots from NFS clients in 8.3.1

In 7-mode we are able to make snapshots accessible, but invisible to NFSv3 clients. In this mode there is a .snapshot directory, but if you ‘ls’ that directory it appears empty. However, if you ls .snapshot/hourly.0 say then you can see that the snapshot is in fact there. We now have an 8.3.1 CDOT filer and have not been able to work out how to reproduce the behaviour. The snapshots are either accessible and visible (which causes problems for programs which walk the tree) or not accessible at all. NetApp support have not been able to help so far. Can anybody on this list? Add vfiler0 to a Domain

Toasters, I have a 7-mode system that hosts a number of non-default-vfilers. Several non-default-vfilers have been added to an Active Directory domain. vfiler0, however, is not a member of the domain on either controller. I have a new Fiber Channel client that is going to utilize this 7-mode system. This client plans to use a SnapManager product that would benefit from vfiler0 being added to the domain. Will adding vfiler0 to the domain (cifs setup) affect the configuration of any of the existing vfilers? Thanks, -Phil
