NDMPD

I have a problem with my 760 filer. I have the command NDMPD ON in my \etc\rc file, but after I reboot and enter the NDMPD STATUS command, it shows that it was off. Any ideas?

How strange they werent able to answer your question. Amber means it has a valid AC source, green means the supply is switched on. I am trying to look this up, but do you have a case number when you got the "I dont know" answer..we want to make sure there isnt a documentation issue on our end again. Thanks!

F760 Power Supply Lights

We have an F760. Its head unit has dual power supplies. Each power supply has a green light and an amber light. It is my understanding that the green light indicates that it is receiving (and delivering) power, and that the amber light indicates a problem. Both power supplies have both green and amber lights on, and the F760 seems to work. What *does* the amber light indicate? Our NetApp support engineer didn't know. We've had some problems with this machine that required us to replace the motherboard. Shortly thereafter, we had to replace it again. Either a DLL is not okay or something else in the registry isn't what it's supposed to be. I have been messing with LM/NTLM authentication, SMB signing and other things that are supposed to improve the security of inter-NT communications. My guess is that something in the way NT handles CIFS that isn't supported by NetApp isn't switched off after I turned it on. I think I'll just go for a clean install as soon as I can get all my settings and other stuff backed up. Regards, Homme R. I believe you should look at the "Cleartext Password" setting, which was changed by Micro$oft from WinNT SP3.
