While very similar to the simulator - you can have the team fire up ONTAPselect and bang on that a while - that way you dont practice on your PROD netapp cluster.

You can also have folks load the simulator. Haven’t used it in years as we have lots of labs internally

Awesome list, Jason! I will just add that I think Insight 2020 is still free to register and access the content. You may be able to absorb additional information there as well. But I do not know how long it will remain up.

Thank you,

I'll let others chime in on traditional training but as long as you have a valid login to the NetApp support site there are many hands on labs available:

https://mysupport.netapp.com/site/tools --> Filter by “Hands-on Labs”

18 Hands on Labs Available:
Hands-on Lab for Ansible with ONTAP
Hands-on Lab for Cluster Setup 9.7 and System Manager
Hands-on Lab for Connecting a Distributed Workforce with NetApp Global File Cache
        Hands-on Lab for Data Protection
        Hands-on Lab for Element Software
Hands-on Lab for Enterprise Database Backups
Hands-on Lab for Exploring the E-Series SANtricity System Manager Web Interface
        Hands-on Lab for FabricPool
Hands-on Lab for Migrating from 7-Mode
Hands-on Lab for ONTAP NAS Technologies
Hands-on Lab for ONTAP REST API
Hands-on Lab for ONTAP SAN Technologies
Hands-on Lab for Ransomware Protection with ONTAP
        Hands-on Lab for StorageGRID
Hands-on Lab for the NetApp Deployment Engine (NetApp HCI)
        Hands-on Lab for Trident
        Hands-on Lab for Upgrading ONTAP
Hands-on Lab for Using Ansible for Disaster Recovery in the Data Fabric

The lab guides are very good at walking you through the various topics. Definitely worth a look.

Thanks,

Jason

    Hello All,

We're about to receive a new AFF-220 to replace our aged FAS and it
occurs to me that my team could use an update in our general NetApp
knowledge. But we have zero dollars available for training.

Are there any free online training resources? Barring that, any good
    dirt-cheap ones?

    Thanks in advance,

    Randy (he/him) in Seattle
