Please verify that in Windows Explorer that you are showing all files (including hidden/system etc)

I have just done a test and marked 1 file as hidden (when Tool à folder Options à Show hidden files is enable) then both match.

When I turn off showing hidden files the properties for the folder displays 1 extra file.

This could be your answer.

Note the test was done just using Windows as this is a Windows thing and the Filer will do the same.

Doesn't the folder itself count as an object? Are there also sub-folders?

Subject: Difference in # of files

Someone out there has to know this.

When I go into a folder in CIFS that only has files in it, it shows in the status bar 22 objects (files).  I count, and verify.  22 files.

I go up a folder, and right click the folder and do a ‘properties’, and it shows 23 files!  I am NOT showing ~snapshot, and it shouldn’t matter if I did.

My customer has the same problem, only the difference in his folder is 2 files (122 versus 120).

Ideas anyone?
