To chime in on the paralan comment, we had nothing but trouble with the two that we tried.  (HVD in filer to LVD drives/library).

We ended up purchasing an FC-AL tape adapter for our filers and a Chapparal FC-SCSI bridge.  We haven't had a problem since.  This setup also provides the ability to offline and online the FC-AL adapter.  If you need to do maintenance on your library (stuck tape, replace a drive, etc.), it can easily be done with the filer up and without interrupting service.

HI Guyz,

You may have to use lvd to hvd converter from paralan.
It works. We had the same problem with 940, in which
we had to hook up a hvd autoloader to 940. We used
paralan because acording to ntap their pci is pci-x
and there isnt't any hvd adapters  for pci-x.

good luck..and shoot to www.paralan.com...
