Correct:

filer > snapmirror initialize -s base -S filer:src -w destination_filer:dst

Cannot specify a snapshot to transfer when snapmirroring an entire volume.

usage:

snapmirror initialize  [-k <n>][-s <src_snap>][-c <dst_snap>][-S [<srcfiler>:]<srcpath>][-w] [<dstfiler>:]<dstpath>

in which <srcpath> and <dstpath> are

 <volname> or </vol/volname/qtreename>

        - request start of initial transfer

VSM is designed differently from QSM and thus does not support -s.

I know qtrees can do this via -s -c

Can a vol snapmirror be restricted to a single snapshot ? Or a regex based snapshot name ?
