upgrading the head unit impact iscsi iqns, lun serial numbers etc?</p></div></div></blockquote><div><br>By default, the iSCSI target iqn of the filer will change, since it contains the serial# of the head. You can change that since the IQN is configurable, IIRC.
<br><br>LUN serial numbers stay the same, and I am unaware of any other changes occuring in this aspect.<br><br>If you are using a FAS3020, chances are that you are running on hardware-based ownership. The FAS3040 is software-based ownership only, so chances are that you need to do a maintenance-mode boot and reassign the disks to the new head.
