Has anyone used OSSV SnapVault to backup data from Windows, Unix, Linux and Sco. How does it handle Database files like

Oracle – What needs to happen to the Database file before it is transmitted, and what is transmitted from the Server to the Filer Changes or whole database?
SQL – What needs to happen to the Database file before it is transmitted, and what is transmitted from the Server to the Filer ?
Informix –What needs to happen to the Database file before it is transmitted, and what is transmitted from the Server to the Filer ?
Lotus Notes – What needs to happen to the Database file before it is transmitted, and what is transmitted from the Server to the Filer ?
