You may also like to
know that VFM (Virtual File Manager) from NetApp is a cut down version of
StorageX from Nuview.
I have had StorageX in
and running on Eval – and to be honest, if I had enough budget (Well a budget of
greater than zero) to play with would have gone with it for the Global Name
Space virtualisation within the windows environment we were
running.
The only short coming
it had at the time was no NFS. I was told that this was on the roadmap –
not sure if it is here yet ?

Subject: NuView vs
Rainfinity
We are currently evaluating
NuView and Rainfinity for their ability to use a global name space through use
of AD and DFS. We have the need to virtualize shares from 1 server to
multiple filers. NuView seems to be the ticket, however Rainfinity seems
to be fairly similar. Any positive or negative feedback would be
appreciated.
