Seems to work just fine – I am in 7 mode – it’s even the root
aggregate.

I've never has issues renaming aggregates in 7 or GX (DOT 10)

Volumes cannot, obviously, but nowhere is a client aware of aggregate info so
had I to guess I'd say it could be renamed with impunity.
