Great, thanks!
That seems to work fine, it’s still transferring and the amount of data matches the sv_daily.2 volume on the source, so consider this resolved

Yes, the snapvault restore command should work just normal in this case also.

Thanks, I’ve started the update with this command now – at least I didn’t get an error message for it, so let’s see i fit will copy over all the data from the old sv_daily.2 Snapshot.
How would I go about restoring this snapshot then? I assume a simple restore of the snapvaulted data will automatically bring back the data from sv_daily.2 then onto the source, correct?

Hi,
SnapVault can do that, with a two-step process.
First, create the SnapVault relationship with snapvault start -S primary:/vol/vol/qtree secondary:/vol/vol/qtree
After the initialize has finished, just update the relationship with snapvault update -s sv_daily.2 secondary:/vol/vol/qtree and it will transfer all blocks required for sv_daily.2 to your secondary.
This also works when the update snapshot is older than the last transferred.

Subject: Snapvault including old Snapshots?
Hi,
I’m not sure if this is possible with SnapVault, but I would need to snapvault an existing volume which does currently have old sv_daily Snapshots on it, here’s the output of „snap list“:
%/used %/total date name
---------- ---------- ------------ --------
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 09 10:00 hourly.0
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 09 06:00 hourly.1
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 09 00:00 nightly.0
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 08 22:00 hourly.2
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 08 18:00 hourly.3
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 08 00:00 nightly.1
0% ( 0%) 0% ( 0%) Jan 07 00:00 nightly.2
99% (99%) 55% (55%) Jun 17 17:00 sv_daily.0
99% ( 0%) 55% ( 0%) Jun 16 17:00 sv_daily.1
99% ( 0%) 55% ( 0%) Jun 15 17:00 sv_daily.2
In fact, I would only be interested in sv_daily.2.
Any chance to do that with SnapVault or maybe SnapMirror or would I have to clone the snapshot on the source volume into a new volume and transfer the volume created out of sv_daily.2 then?
Best,
