There's a bug in the kerberos implementation (ID 174785) of ONTAP that prevents vista from connecting.  If you connect via IP address (\\<ip>), which forces NTLM authentication, it should work.  It will also work if the filer and client are in AD, but the user account is in a trusted NT 4 domain.   It's fixed in 7.0.5 (GD) and in 7.1.1.1 and 7.2.1 which are GA (we only deploy GD code if we can help it).

Our company develops hardware and software that runs under Vista so we hit this bug pretty early (in Beta 1 or Beta 2).

Vista and Netapp??

I am just starting to test Vista against our netapp FAS 3020c filers.  We use these machines with the CIFS license for basic file sharing.  The shares have Active Directory permissions applied to them and the servers have been added to AD.  In Vista, I cannot connect to the servers using an AD account.  Only the accounts created on the filer itself will allow me to connect from Vista.

Has anyone run into this?  Any solutions?
