Hi,

just for understanding...do you have problems with accessing the vol0 from the windows host??
If yes, then first check if you use domain-auth or local one.

You can check the users from the CLI with

>useradmin domainuser list -g Administrators        // will list you the Members of the local Administrator group in SSID Format

>cifs lookup [SSID]         // this translates the SSID into a AD-group or user

If your User is not part of the group you can use from the CLI

>useradmin domainuser add DOMAIN\test.user -g Administrators

Another possible way would be to modify the share permissions to the cifs share on /vol/vol0

Check:

>cifs shares        //shows the shares

Normally this is c$

Then add your user to the CIFS Share

>cifs access c$ DOMAIN\User Full Control

This should work as well.

Best Regards

Jochen

Subject: Authentication Error

Hi,

I am interested in accessing /vol/vol0 from my windows machine and from Linux Machine too. When I try to connect it the following error message appeared “The account is not authorized to log in from this station”.  On Linux machine I can mount /vol/vol0, but it does allow me to go into mounted directory. My machine is also an administration host of NetApp.

Please help.
