Hello everybody,

I’m planning to setup a 9.1 Ontap Select single node for demo and tests. I’ve read that prerequisites are almost strict. They ask for at least 8 HDDs and 2 TB + 266 GB hd space on the internal VMFS datastore where to put the Select vmdk.

For demo I don’t have such a server, there’s enough RAM and cores but just few hdds Raid 5 protected. Do you think I could set up Select with no issues or there’s some soft/hard lock that avoid to do it if less than 8 hdds are found?

The secondo question is this.

Times ago I was reading somewhere that Select could be supported on a VSAN datastore too. Do you have some news about this?
