NetApp confirmed it to be the case for us.  We were, in fact, not cabled per best practices and the light was letting us know that fact.

Guess it's not your issue, but that was our warning light mystery.

Hmm… how did you find out that this was the reason for the LED?

Both filers in question are not having any external shelves – just the disks in the controller and for the 2650, there’s not really much I could have done wrong.

Filer1:e0a -> filer2:e0a (cluster)

Filer1:e0b -> filer2:e0b (cluster)

Filer1:0a -> filer2:0b (sas)
filer1:0b -> filer2:0a (sas)

No ACP cabling on the FAS2650 anymore, so that’s about it I guess…

I have found that this can be caused if shelf cabling is not meeting "best practices".   I had this issue with 6280's once we upgraded to 8.2.x.  The loops weren't spread out on different cards, or asics, or something odd.

Hi there,

I have two filers (1x FAS2240 and 1x FAS2650) and both have the system attention LED lit and I have no idea why.

`System health status show` as well as config advisor are both A-OK and there are no visible indicators why this LED is still lit.

Any idea how to find out the root cause of this LED on the front bezel or how I can check or maybe reset the status of the LED through CLI?

Thanks,
