Oggetto: Re: Multipath-HA and SATA

Both my experience in performance and a consultation I just made with storage engineering agree that it is absolutely the correct thing to do both for performance and reliability to deploy MPHA in conjunction with SATA.

Going forward, MPHA is the standard for deploying clusters for all types of disks.

Hi all,

rumors from NetApp’s engineering state that Multipath-HA on loops formed with SATA disks are counterproductive and with worst performances.

This seems to me physically a nonsense.

Is there somebody with further informations?

Thanks,
