RE: cifs permissions

Is the time the same on the filer, clients and Domain Controllers ? If there is more than 5 mins difference, it could be the cause.

Cheers

Matt

cifs permissions

Hello fellow Toasters.

I'm seeing a strange problem with one of our filers. Users are getting denied access to their shares even though they are in the group that has access. If I add the user in specifically then they are able to access the files.

I did an options cifs.trace_login on and it says the user is accepted, according to the log. Checked the windows trust for the domains, checked event logs on the dc's, no errors.

Any ideas?
