I know the FAS will auto align VMware to the NetApp, but how about correcting VMware to Windows vmdks on p2v’d or existing VM’s.  Are there any options out there to align an existing server other than backup/restore.  Here is my plan.  Add a new vmdk of identical size, do a diskpart alignment.  Then backup and restore (ntbackup, ghost,etc).  I have about 15 servers and anything p2v’d with the same issue.  Anyone have one better.  I have new templates for future servers but we’re doing a bit of consolidation.
