A few other things you'll want to be familiar with are how to use the fcadmin command to change the filers FC cards to target or initiator mode depending on what their use will be. (i.e. if connecting to a shelf it will be initiator or if connecting to FC switch will be target.) Also, you'll want to make sure your iscsi and and fcp nodenames stayed the same. I think they do but it's easy enough to check, just to make sure.

I'm upgrading FAS3050C to FAS3170A
I know of the following tasks:
1- same version ONTAP on old and new controllers
2- disk reassign ownership form old_sysid to new_sysid
3- mailbox destroy local
4- mailbox destroy partner
5- lun serial numbers to be change to what they were before the upgrade
6- software install ONTAP for FAS3170 after upgrade
7- license add
8- edit /etc/rc file for networking ports to correspond to new ports e0c to
e4a example.

Is there something that i'm missing or any other gotcha's that i can avoid.
