Just one add-on:
The throttling works usually at the network layer.
So if your source and your destination is on the same filer,
throttling doesn't work, unless you set the following
option:
snapmirror.volume.local_nwk_bypass.enable off
(by default it's "on")
and, YES, according to the documentation, this is strictly for VSMs,
but I thought I'd mention it anyway for folks browsing this thread
and maybe running into the "VSM doesn't throttle" problem...
