The sysstat –x command shows more
details. Try that.

But it does seem to indicate a networking issue. Does "sysstat -x
1" offer any clues like high CPU, disk, or network utilization? I assume
you're using CIFS?

We have a FAS270, single shelf running 7.2.2. Since Monday morning it has really started to slow down. There has been no appreciable change in the environment, ie no large data additions, no increase in users, no hardware failures, etc. The messages file is only complaining about being unable to bind to a particular WINS server and being unable to get to our ntp server, both issues we are aware of and working through - neither should cause this though. The 'ps' command provides a huge amount of data, mostly meaningless. The 'statit' command is almost undocumented. Does anyone have any recommendations about where to start looking?
