I have been running ONTAP 7 RC 4 just over 2 weeks and I have been quite happy with it.  One of the first things I did was to move my /etc to a virtual volume and it saved an bunch of space and let me put those two drives back into productive use. 
 
Setting up new virtual volumes is great.  This is much cleaner that using qtree w/quotas.

Hi -

Anyone know or heard when ONTAP 7.0 is likely to go to GA or FCS ?

RC1 was announced on 27th Oct 2004 and we are now at RC5 !  The suspense is killing me :o)

Anyone running with the RC versions ?  If so, does it live up to what it says it claims to do ?

Any feedback good/bad would be appreaciated...
