There are a few problems with doing this yourself.<br>

For one, it&#39;s not currently supported for customers to do this on their own. Generally you want PS to assist.<br>
<br>
Two, the licenses are not the same. So you will need licenses from your sales team.<br>
<br>
Three, clustered ONTAP currently requires a backend cluster network, with a switch, to operate.<br>
<br>
I&#39;d suggest contacting your sales team for this. They can assist you.<br>

So this friday afternoon I wanted to install OnTap 8.1.2 Cluster over my 7-Mode test-installtion.<br>
Data loss is no problem.<br>

I tried to install the cluster software over the 7-mode Version with software update several times, but on every reboot. Ontap greets me with &quot;7-Mode&quot;.<br>

Which point am I missing?<br>
