Offhand, does anyone know if 8.1 has the ability to do rate limiting for nfs traffic? I have been asked to configure a filer so that nfs traffic from a certain ip addresses will not be able to exceed a maximum transfer rate while other clients will not be subjected to a maximum transfer rate

I am aware that this can be done with ACLs on a switch, but management's would prefer to do it on the filer side if possible.
To close this thread out, I spoke with someone at NetApp and the answer is no. We are going to cable up a 1G port and set it mediatype to tp-fd and use
static routes to send certain clients to that interface
