Hello toasters:

Can anyone explain what CIFS operations that are neither read nor write operations?  In addition, can anyone think of what process(es) could be causing these?

We have 1500+ windows 7 workstations connecting to their homeshares on this head.  Lately we have been seeing CIFS latency where the user workstations are hanging within their windows explorer window.  When this occurs, a cifs top shows high “ops/s” with no associated reads or writes.  We are running DATA ONTap v7.3.5.1P1.

 

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.
