The 4 on-board GigEs are Copper. If you need Fibre,
expansion cards are available.
The 4 2-Gb FC ports are LC and are programmable to be
initiators or targets. As initiators, they
can be used for disk shelves or tape SAN. As targets,
the can be used for disk SAN. Of course,
you'd need an FCP license to use them as
targets.

Can someone please explain to me the break down of on board cards in

according to the specs there are 4 gigE on board ports: are they copper
or fiber?
can all of them be used for data?
What about FC ports? The 2
bellow, are they used for disk shelf connectivity or they can be used for
san/tape connections?
