I just took the SnapMirror/SnapVault class and have a note on this.  According to the instructor, at version 8.2.1, ONTAP will autogrow the destination volume when you grow the source volume.  I haven’t tried this to verify.  Are you running 8.2.1 (or later)?

Please help 

I have snapmirror setup between 2 qtrees.

netapp1:/vol/vol1/q1  --> netapp2/vol/vol1/q1

I was under impression that in 8.2 you can add space to source volume and destination will grow. 

When I add space or change maxfile on source, the destination remains the same

Is my issue due to having just qtree snapmirror? Or I am missing something?
